Created to celebrate the bicentenary of Louis Pasteur — a pivotal figure in the development of modern microbiology and public health — this project reflects on the cycle of beginnings and endings marked by his birth and his passing.
The visual narrative explores the end of once-devastating infections and the birth of scientific ideas that continue to shape modern medicine.
The composition translates this duality into typographic form. The letter U is replaced by an omega, evoking the idea of an ending, while an elongated S, inspired by ancient scripts, rises like a sprout to suggest birth and renewal.
Letters intertwine like interconnected experiments, some enclosed within modular structures reminiscent of the periodic table.
A restrained palette of green and orange reinforces themes of vitality, growth, and innovation, connecting scientific history with a contemporary visual language.
